Automated Drupal 10 compatibility fixes

Patch adds the needed Drupal 10 compatibility changes.

Reviewed and tested the patch, works well for me as well.

Will Drupal 10 support be available, at least in DEV, to be installed by composer?

Drupal 9 end of life is a few months away.

Following because as of now, it looks like we'll need to uninstall this until the Drupal 10 support is merged to a release. Will be happy to add it again if/when it is ready.

Does someone want to volunteer to take over maintainership of this module if the maintainers do not want wish to keep it up to date?

I just learned about a great tool for another module that might help some here: https://www.drupal.org/docs/develop/using-composer/using-drupals-lenient... → It worked great in the other module I tried it, that was in a similar scenario as this one where there isn't much sign that there will be a proper release in time.

That will allow you to add a composer package even if it says that it won't work with the specified Drupal core (10) and then add the patch afterward, instead of stopping you from updating.
