#4 provided patch not working with search_api version 8.x-1.38 (latest so far), so attaching the compatible patch with this version.

Hi, I upgraded to the latest version 8.x-1.38.
After the upgrade, I was not able to reproduce the issue.
It seems to be working fine without any issues on Drupal 11.2.2.
