Please check the method RestClient::getVersions(), it is also in use in setting form. Maybe we can just reuse it to reduce the code duplication in your merge request.
The Use latest REST API Version setting is great, but even after a recent update it tends to fall behind.
It's easy enough to just select a version manually, so this isn't really critical, but it would be nice if the setting really did always use the latest API version automatically.
