As part of the Decoupled Menus initiative it was identified that while there is documentation for related modules like JSON:API, there was little to no general documentation on Decoupled Drupal on Drupal.org. At a previous DrupalCon a number of contributors came together to outline what a possible guide to Decoupled Drupal could look like. This was initially created as part of the Decoupled Menus initiative documentation, but is substantially beyond the scope of that specific initiative.
We believe that this general documentation would be valuable to developers who are considering using Drupal as a decoupled CMS, and we want to ensure that this documentation effort continues beyond the Decoupled Menus Initiative.
Now that this initial outline has been migrated to https://www.drupal.org/docs/develop/decoupled-drupal → we should use this meta issue to outline a plan to continue developing this documentation. We should also consider the prospect of recruiting a more formalized team to drive these docs forward.
