Thanks for getting this issue started.
I made some changes to the MR. When I started, 8 of my sites 16 feeds importers were successfully migrated. Now, 15 out of 16 work.
In particular, importers that create users or field collections can now be migrated (and the migrated processors create users or paragraphs, respectively).
I made the changes in 4 small commits, so that it is easier to review.
