I created a webform with a multiple checkboxes field with more than ten options. Then I add a handler to limit the number of choices per option. When I fill out more than two limits, it can't be saved. The spinning sign is shown for a second and the user-interface doesn't close. This behavior changes when I only use two or less limits.

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
I don't think there is any solution to the issue, and people should avoid using periods within an option's value.
This seems to have been taken up in 🐛 ConfigValueException: ***** key contains a dot which is not supported. in Drupal\Core\Config\ConfigBase->validateKeys() Needs review
