MediaLibraryState already has a lot of information about what triggered media library to open. But for the modules like groupmedia it is also important that the context about the group to which the opener belongs to is also added to the MediaLibraryState, so that the view that is used to display the existing media selection is also filtered according to the group permissions.
There is a related issue https://www.drupal.org/project/groupmedia/issues/3238469 🐛 Groupmedia is not checking group permissions but site permissions when adding media entities via media library Fixed .
Allow to alter opener_parameters variable in MediaLibraryWidget before the state is populated.
Decide whether it should be alter hook or event and add a patch/MR.
