I have a Full Calendar View to show Event nodes that have a Smart Date field on them. The Calendar works fine except that it is unusably slow to load.
I have filters to limit the Event nodes to 50 and it still can take over a minute to load the View. If I remove the SmartDate fields the View loads quickly. I have Tag caching on but have tried Time Based.
Any ideas to speed up the query/load times?

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
I'll revive this issue by pointing out that the Calendar View → module has Smart Date support, so people with large volumes of events might want to try that one out.

I just tried Calendar view and it is even slower when using smart date. So it seems smart date itself is issue, not calendars.
