The module info → page has not been updated since GA4 support was released. It'd be nice to have a grid on there similar to the one from Solr → (although probably much smaller) noting which module versions support which GA versions.
This comment #3178179: Support new Google Analytics 4 → has some detail that should be elevated:
the 4.x module will support multiple accounts, which will allow you to run multiple tags within the same module. This also means that 2.x and 3.x should be able to be EOL. According to Google, the gtag system should have full backwards compatibility with the UA system that exists in the 2.x branch.

I've updated the project page to indicate only the 4.x and 7.x-2.x modules are supported now. With the old version of the Google Analytics being EOL (shut off), the compatibility matrix is pretty simple now.
