Hello users of this module.
Since we are few days before D8 is EOL and there is no available release to be D9 compatible, I have created a fork of this module, a temporary one, until the current maintainers have time/decide to make a new official release.
You can find the code in this Github repo and you can download it to your repositories with composer require esn-org/cas_server. When you want to upgrade, make sure to remove the drupal/cas_server first.
The latest release is D9 compatible along with some issues that were RTBC already. More fixes/features can be discussed in the repo's issue queue. We'd like to keep it for bugfix releases mostly, until there is an update from the maintainers side.
