Simple XML Sitemap 4.x compatibility

I'm using Simple XML Sitemap 4.x on a path like https://example.org/sitemap.xml. The sitemap contains links in Dutch and French.

We are also using Disable Language with English as default (English is the admin language).

The path https://example.org/sitemap.xml is not available for anonymous users and redirects to https://example.org/nl. When I uninstall the Disable Language module, the https://example.org/sitemap.xml path is accessible also for anonymous users.

I guess this module works fine with Simple XML Sitemap 3.x but not with Simple XML Sitemap 4.x.
