Some people might say: why I should use telephone number instead of email when people can easily open email messages in a smartphone? The answer is very simple: for many people nowadays an email address is useless without a smartphone for accessing it, not the other way around. I would like to become maintainer of this module because I believe email is outdated technology and Drupal should not depend on it.
