Manage Display View Modes per Paragraph type of Rendered Entity containing multiple paragraph types

Problem/Motivation I have a field on a content type that is a Paragraph entity reference containing multiple paragraph types available to a content editor. In Manage Display of the content type with Rendered Entity selected as the format I only have the option to select 1 View Mode for all of the paragraph types referenced in the content type. I would like to be able to select the view mode of the rendered entity based on the type of paragraph that is entered in the Content. there are some modules that allow view mode selection when editing or creating the content, but I don't think the burden of selecting a view mode should be placed on a content editor if we can set it automatically on the Content Type Manage Display settings.

ex: the single entity reference/rendered entity field contains 2 paragraph types:

Content List
Image

Each paragraph type contains multiple view modes for multiple scnerios. On this particular content type I'd like to set the display view mode for Content List to my 2-column view mode, but I want to set my Image View mode to 1-column. Currently I only have to option to set the Paragraph Rendered entity display to one view mode for both paragraph types.

Create multiple Paragraph Types with multiple view modes per paragraph type.

Create an Entity Reference Paragraph field on a Content Type and select all of your paragraph types as available for reference.

Go to Manage Display settings of your content type, set Format of your paragraph field to Rendered Entity.

Click the gear, only one view mode is selectable to apply to all of the paragraph types

In Manage Display settings of a content type, would it be possible to allow the selection of a View Mode PER Paragraph Type available to the paragraph rendered entity on the node?

Has this been resolved? I'm also looking for a way for the admin to select the view mode (full vs teaser) when selecting a node entity reference via paragraphs. This feature would be extremely helpful

This would actually be a real good feature for advanced cases. I have pages composed by nested paragraphs, and trying to use the search_api module to search through the rendered pages. All works well, but it also rendered the nested paragraphs names/labels, which becomes quite weird on search excertps for the visitor search.

It would be great if there could be a way to reuse a specific display mode, like "search index", that we could add onto paragraphs.
