I opened this but don't remember the why anymore so will say it's outdated
Currently we have a scenario where we want all external links to open in a new window. But only specific links to get a popup. Using the whitelist field removes the popup but now they don't open in a new window.
Add a new field to apply a pattern for the popup to target. If left empty then it will fall back to current behavior.
