breadcrumb_label_value cannot be translated

The variable breadcrumb_label_value cannot be translated. As a result, visitors with a screen reader will get the English text "You are here:" even if the rest of the page is in another language. This is not very user friendly for those people, especially if they do not understand English.

I tried to manually translate this text in the code, but the translate value is not shown. Hence, I think this value is stored in the database.

If not, it might take some time to look into getting this to be a translatable value.

  • This patch makes the string translatable.

  • Status changed to Downport about 1 year ago
  • Just to add: you also can temporarily enable "show the label" and then translate the string, save the extension settings, and then disable the "show the label" setting again. Disadvantage: the string cannot be translated on a multilingual website. I thus prefer my patch, but maybe the field to set the text should be removed now as it becomes useless with my patch.
