Currently, when selecting a form mode to add fields to the bulk upload form, the module marks all such fields as optional, removing any 'required' configuration. It would be nice to add an option to keep fields as required, to prevent users from creating media which would be invalid if otherwise entered individually (due to missing required fields).
Attached patch adds an option to keep required field information in the bulk upload form. Defaults to 'off' to preserve current behavior.

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
I agree with @Anybody that it should just use the previously configured required settings so moving this back to needs work.
Still needs work and should be updated for 3.0.x branch.
Not sure why I moved to needs work before as the patch in #4 is ready for review.
