Also with the recent moving of introducing a new navigation in Drupal core which will have an opt-in API for custom menus this might get obsolete soon.
It would be great to have an option to change de admin toolbar menu for a specific role. I was using Admin menu swap → but it is to buggy and not really supported. I think this feature would be great because it is necessary for almost every drupal project that another role can edit content and navigate easily in the backend.
