I have a content type, that I don't want to be indexed in the sitemap, the sitemap settings are still shown in the sidebar on the node creation form.
Create a content type and check the option "Do not index entities of type [node_type] in variant [sitemap_variant]" on every sitemap variant.
Now create a node of the new node type and the sitemap settings are all disabled, but still present in the sidebar.
