I noticed that APCu extension is disabled on the PHP 8.0 containers, and couldn't find an explanation for why this might be the case.
Look for APCu in the artifacts/runcontainers/phpinfo.txt file
The APCu section could be restored to the php.ini and php-cli.ini files - see https://git.drupalcode.org/project/drupalci_environments/-/commit/fa79dc... for where it was removed
