If your views' fields have aggregation settings (because aggregation was turned on at some point), but aggregation was later turned off and/or a second 'views display' is added where aggregation is off... then the aggregation settings should be ignored.
This is a Views bug; more info and a Views patch is coming in #2071359-5: Switching aggregation off will leave fields aggregating, without any indication they do → . This is the accompanying patch that is necessary to fix date fields, if this module is installed, for those who care / come across this bug.
FYI: the D8/D9 Core views code is still largely the same so I expect a very similar fix is needed for the D8/D9 branch. (Core issue is 🐛 Aggregation settings are not removed from fields when turned off Needs work )
