So been a few years with no activity, so going to close out. If anyone feels different please re-open.
It would be extremely valuable to be able to query a subtree by passing in a contextual filter pointing to the parent, then all entries below that parent in the tree are returned. With large trees there are many instances when the whole tree is not wanted, just a subtree starting at a certain entry.
