Access ignored by Group module

Problem/Motivation

Using the Group module → in site build along with this module. All nodes have the entity reference field: "Collaborators". This field allows authors to grant editing permissions via the Access by Reference module.

Nodes can also be created in a Group.

However, when a node is created in a group, the permission set by the AbR module are ignored and the referenced users do not have edit permissions.

Steps to reproduce

1. Install Group module
2. Install Access by Reference module
3. Create content type that uses AbR module to grant edit permissions
4. Add same content type as Group content type
5. Create node in Group, reference user using appropriate field
