Make a custom link

I am using the views UI and have a table that is using two fields: Exercise (math problem) and Numbers done.
I am using aggregation and the table shows a list with 2 columns The name of the Exercise and the maximum number of exercises done per minute of this exercise. In the exercise field, I have done a rewrite so it appears as a custom link that points to a table showing the result of all Exercises of this kind.
It all works fine.
When displaying this as a chart, the UI still showing the possibility to add a custom link (for both fields).
There is a checkbox, 'Allow advanced rendering', that I checked. But I can not get this to work for me.
Am I missing something or does the module not support this?
Perhaps I shall add this as a feature request instead.
