The 'maillog' DB table will keep growing, and can get quite large.
A previous issue ( ✨ Clear maillog? Fixed was reported 'fixed' for 8.x, but the 7.x patch in the same issue (despite functioning) has not been reviewed so cannot be applied.
Attached patch works but could do with a review
