I am using both multiple_fields_remove_button and Field Config Cardinality → , I have a field that has 'unlimited' cardinality but limited to 1 at the field settings level.
A remove button is added to the field (as expected) because multiple_fields_remove_button does not check for cardinality at the field settings level.
I would like to add a check for the existence of this module and modify the cardinality based on the field setting cardinality.

It's a bad idea to inject the logic from another module. You can apply the patch only for your project.
