This module does not change the Filter operators. So this looks like a Drupal core issue, if it's really an issue.
So please, identify the issue and report it to drupal core.

In my particular case I upgraded from core 8.9.3 to 8.9.6 and noticed that autocomplete filters were no longer working.
Also, the wrong operators (date field type operators) are provided to entity reference filter criteria.
