Currently migrating to Drupal 8 from Drupal 7. We make use of the LDAP modules. Everything set up and configured as it was (no migration, vanilla install and settings/config).
I tried using 4.x but it broke the dev site on upgrade (query wasn't enabled before upgrade) so I reverted.
When a new user is created by the LDAP module, the username is not as expected. Instead of the samaccountname as expected, which worked in D7, the module appears to be creating the user with their given name as a username.
Current config;
The user should be created as mapped.
What have I missed? Have we ticked too many boxes?
