We updated the Views Reference module from 8.x-1.8 to 8.x-2.0-beta (also tried the lastes dev) in a Drupal 9 site.
Running update.php script caused this error:

I used Views Reference as a field of a Paragraph. After the update, all data of views reference fields were gone.

Can you please check the patch in 🐛 Update viewsreference_update_8103 fails if table name is too long and shortened by Drupal Fixed to see if that solves the issue?
