after installing the last stable version I have no visible effect at all on the user interface via menu edit.
With other words the module is absolutely useless for their is no way to apply it via menu items edit. What a pity.

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
Same for me in D9. No change on menu item edit form.
This one https://www.drupal.org/project/menu_items_visibility → did the job for me.
