Can not add Event Registration (capacity) field to event instance admin view

It is not possible to add Event Registration (capacity) value to the the event instances admin view at admin/content/events/instances

Steps to reproduce.
1. Edit the Event instances admin view
2. Add the Event Registration (capacity) field
3. Attempt to apply the change - modal will not close
4. Cancel the modal - table headers, but no values have been added to the view preview.
5. Attempt to save the view - a WSOD results and a php error is seen in the DB log.

Drupal\Component\Plugin\Exception\PluginNotFoundException: The "event_registration" plugin does not exist. Valid plugin IDs for Drupal\Core\Field\FormatterPluginManager are: cookie_content_blocker_oembed, cshs_full_hierarchy, cshs_group_by_root, cshs_flexible_hierarchy, datetime_plain, datetime_custom, datetime_time_ago, datetime_default, daterange_custom, daterange_plain, daterange_default, file_default, file_rss_enclosure, file_extension, file_filemime, file_uri, file_url_plain, file_video, file_audio, file_table, file_size, file_link, image, image_url, link, link_separate, list_key, list_default, recurring_events_eventinstance_date, entity_reference_rss_category, text_default, text_summary_or_trimmed, text_trimmed, user_name, author, entity_reference_entity_view, timestamp, entity_reference_entity_id, entity_reference_label, boolean, number_decimal, language, basic_string, string, timestamp_ago, uri_link, number_integer, number_unformatted, email_mailto in Drupal\Core\Plugin\DefaultPluginManager->doGetDefinition() (line 53 of /web/core/lib/Drupal/Component/Plugin/Discovery/DiscoveryTrait.php).

This problem was discovered whilst testing #3150719: Hide an Event with full registrations → , but the problem exists in the current dev, independently of the mentioned issue.
