Any progress on supporting inline entity form? What would this entail?
Currently, if you are using Inline Entity Form (simple or complex widget) to add/edit media embedded in something else, media_entity_file_replace_form_media_form_alter() does not run and the replace functionality is not included.
I think to support this it would be necessary to implement the appropriate inline_entity_form alter hook.
