Hi @garethhallnz, I verified your patch and its working fine in my local. We can move this ticket to RTBC.
When clearing the cache with drush cr I get the following error
In EntityResolverManager.php line 136:
Class \Drupal\time_spent\Controller\TimeSpentController does not exist
The Linux file system is case sensitive and thus the TimeSpentController should be named TimeSpentController.php and not timeSpentController.php
