At the moment the drop-down widget is sorted by group id.
It would be better to sort the elements alphabetically or offer the possibility to re-arrange groups itself.
Add a widget setting for sorting by ID vs. label.
Probably also want a direction (ASC/DESC) toggle.

The change is currently missing an automated test that fails when run with the original code, and succeeds when the bug has been fixed.

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
I find myself adding this patch to every build and haven't seen any issues. Setting as RTBC.
Thanks, glad to hear it's working well. Would still love an automated test before we commit it, so we know we won't break it in the future...
