I am using this module to have the "field_linker" formatter on a media name.
If I check the "link to media" (or not), I always have a link on the media (/media/5), but unauthorized users can't access to media. Can we have a link to the file directly?
Or how can I do that?

What you're asking for is not possible, as it would mean to even go one level deeper. Happy to review patches for a possible solution.
