Error 500 when file is too big

When the max_filesize (Maximum upload size) is set to 0 (for no limit restriction) , I get an error 500 when trying to index too larges pdfs but I don't get any error reported in the logs. It was difficult to understand where the issue came from

Enabling search_api_solr_devel allowed me to pintpoint the issue to the size of the pdf by getting the node id containing that field but there was no error reported at all besides the error 500. More over the index gets fully stuck as long as the node was not deleted

I don't know if we could improve the experience
