If we remove the jQuery dependency and use the provided patch (vanilla JavaScript), we lose the fadeOut effect, which looks nice in my opinion.
It would be great to have also a vanilla JavaScript for the module, without a jQuery dependency.
maybe a toggle in the backend, which js should be uses.
Lot's of frontends are getting jQuery free and it would be a nice feature for the module.
