I am having issues getting this module to work. My domain_access configuration is similar to what's described in this issue

I install the module, then goto /admin/config/domain/domain_menu_access/config and enable the menu for which I'd like to filter menu items for some domains.
If I specify some domains in the menu item edit page for a non node path (ex: /blog) the menu item still shows on all domains.
I read in some other threads that I'm supposed to place the "Domain Menu" block in /admin/structure/block instead of the regular "Main navigation" block but when I click "Place block" I do not find a block labeled "Domain Menu".
Since this module does not include a readme file with instructions I'm at a lost as to what I might be missing to be able to get this module to work as expected.
In the meantime I'm implementing hook_preprocess_menu in my domains' subthemes to filter out menu items that should not be shown as suggested here: https://www.drupal.org/project/domain/issues/3113148 →
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
With the new 2.0.x branch that is Drupal 9 & Drupal 10 ready, could you please retest if you can get it to work?
Other people do have it working with the work done there.
