Clicking UPDATE CART works on desktop but not on mobile

When in the shopping cart and on desktop computer, changing the quantity amount and clicking UPDATE CART does what it should - it updates the quantity and gives a message that the cart has been updated. When doing the exact same thing on a mobile, the page simply refreshes and the quantity reverts to the original number. Please advise.
