In my specific scenario we use fullscreen progress indication when updating a view asynchronously. In order to keep user expectations consistent, we'd like the same progress indication to be used when 'popstate' is executed.
At the moment, the progress type is hard coded into the ajax object for 'popstate'.
Quick patch to substitute 'throbber' for 'fullscreen'.
This issue doesn't seem ubiquitous. So for now will just leave this as patch to swap progress indicator type globally. If the need becomes more present. Create issue to allow for the configuration of the progress indication on a per view basis.
