now on migrate_plus 6.x with alpha6 release.

It appears that to prepare for Drupal 9 it would be best to work on getting this module to match with migrate_plus 8.x-5.x → and be able to run tests against that. Currently 4.x is the suggested branch, however we could expect evolution towards 5.x in the future.
I'm marking this as postponed to start since it is not yet the recommended branch, but should be considered later.
Also it should be added that the 4.x branch is not explicitly indicated in our requirements so this may not require code changes.
