I found an issue with this patch on the branch 2.0.x where a javascript error happens when triggering the views AJAX refresh on click.

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property of undefined (reading 'settings')

So I updated the patch to target branch 2.0.x and added a fix to that type error.
