Single line No markup trunkates to one character

After recent upgrade, setting Override text format to "Single Line, No markup" (in Field Instance definition; default value) causes only first character of field content to be saved.
Checking in database shows both "override" and "override_format" fields are set to this first character.

Tried to set a text format => working
Tried to turn back to "Single Line, No markup" => problem is back

Ah in fact milkovsky incorporated this fix four years ago in Issue #3109470: Warning: Illegal string offset 'value' on save → ; well let's finally give credit in this issue.
