Just installed this module today and I can't seem to get it to work.
The issue I'm experiencing is once you try and use the browser's back button to go back a state, the URL updates but it always reverts the view back to it's defaults (no filters applied).
When console logging through the javascript, in the loadView function, the history.state.url is always "/views/ajax?_wrapper_format=drupal_ajax". Strangely, if I use the Chrome inspector and console log out history the state has the accurate URL (contains all of the query parameters needed). But once it's fired from that function the state has the URL but without any query parameters so the AJAX call to update the view returns an unfiltered result set.
Kind of at a loss where to look next (am a developer and spent a couple hours without any luck).

I was able to solve this issue with the patch from ✨ Exclude some query parameters from the URL RTBC and applying the following excludes:
_wrapper_format
view_name
view_display_id
view_args
view_path
view_base_path
view_dom_id
_drupal_ajax
