This is a really nifty-sounding module and it's a shame that it only has a Drupal 7 version on Drupal.org.
There is a Drupal 8 port issue here: 🌱 Drupal 8 port Fixed but the project linked there has composer.json issues which prevented me from installing it correctly, so I created a fork of that repo and tidied it up a bit: https://github.com/Focusrite-Novation/captcha_after
I'd like to offer co-maintainership for this module so that I can push a Drupal 8 version here if possible, and maybe start looking at some of the issues in the queue.
