Add relationship from paragraph entity in search_api to parent node/entity

When using Paragraphs as datasource for search API, there is no option to add a relationship to parent.

Eg. use case.
1. I have a content type X with an entity field reference to Y paragraph type.
2. I have a search api index that index all paragraphs of type Y.
3. I want to display a list of all Y paragraph items except the ones that belong to a node that is unpublished.

In above case I don't get the option to add the status field of X content type as a filter as I cannot add a relationship to the parent entity.
