Underscores convert to hyphens

Hi,
I am using views_fieldsets with a flexbox grid system that uses classes such as col-3_sm-12.

When I add a class to a fieldset it outputs the above class as col-3-sm-12 which breaks the grid. Is there any way to stop _ being stripped/converted?
