Map marker - attached row interactive cross-highlighting

I'm using a version of the Geolocation Demo - Interactive CommonMap demo, which automatically updates the map markers and attached view rows with user-made changes to the map boundary box.

This works fantastically as is. I was hoping there was a way to trigger changes to the paired marker/row - such that hovering over one would add a class to the other.

The use case for this would be engaging interactive effects such as bouncing the associated marker icon of a highlighted row (to highlight/distinguish it from the other markers), or to change the background color of the associated row of a hovered marker for the same reason.
