Using the contextual links to "View Notes" redirects you to a whole different page. This removes all contextual navigation to return to the node with the notes.
I'm suggesting a feature that, when a user clicks the "View Notes" link in the contextual links, would either:
- Open the off-canvas overlay with all of the notes visible without ever take the user away from the node
- Open a new page (as it does now) but keep the node-specific contextual links visible (or at least a "back to node" link at the top of the page).

I am having trouble reproducing this issue. I understand that is has been four years; this may have been addressed in the past 4 years.
I think this request was met. The notes open in the off-canvas. This is a 4 year old issue.
