Now that π Deprecate/remove the ability to update a module from a URL and authorize.php Active and child issues are done, all this code is deprecated and will be removed in D12.
I have a question, I've finally decided to come out and ask.
I'll preface this by saying, I realize that I may have an incorrect component or whatever in the switches above, If it's wrong, I apologize; please pay more mind to the question here than the stuff above.
That being said, here's the issue.
I've noticed for a while now, when Drupal 8 is updating, it will put itself into Maintenance Mode, download and install the updates, and takes itself OUT of Maintenance Mode, says that it is ready to update databases, and immediately tells me that the first thing I should do is... put it in maintenance mode! I'm sure that there are probably reasons why you wouldn't want staying in maintenance mode, but to me, it would seem to make more sense to ask, "do you wish to exit maintenance mode?" or something. To me, it makes zero sense to come out of Maintenance mode, just to immediately turn around and put it back in maintenance mode.
Is this something that can be improved in upcoming updates?

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
