In the jquery plugin examples, we can see a responsive example : http://igorlino.github.io/elevatezoom-plus/examples.htm#zoom-responsive
The way the Drupal module is implemented it wouldn't allow this responsive workflow to work. Implementing an "always on" responsive feature would feel overkill... maybe adding a checkbox enabling the "redraw" of the module on screen resize ?
